Program Description

Requirements are similar to those in other biological sciences. The student should have completed basic courses in the physical and biological sciences, including genetics, nutrition, and physiology. Deficiencies may prolong the time needed to complete degree programs. The fact that an applicant meets the above requirements shall not guarantee admission since each professor will accept only the number of students that can be supervised adequately with available facilities, time, and funds. Students interested in a Ph.D. should apply for admission to the doctoral program in agricultural sciences or reproductive physiology.
