Program Description
The Soil Science Program is designed for students who want to have careers as soil scientists or work in fields where expertise in soil science is highly desirable such as natural resource management. Courses within this major emphasize environmental soil science and students work with their advisers to select courses relating to land use or watershed management.
Career Profile
Graduates are prepared to work in any number of fields including soil conservation, soil survey, water quality and nutrient management, land reclamation and revegetation, and hazard waste management. Jobs are available in regulatory and educational agencies of federal and state governments and in the private sector.
English Language Proficiency
