The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Intermedia and Photography fosters creative exploration and critical inquiry in the production of contemporary art through a variety of media explorations, including digital and traditional photographic processes, digital video, animation, installation, interactivity and sound design.
Students track toward either Electronic Media or Photography to develop their unique and compelling forms of expression. A state-of-the-art facility for analog and digital imaging, a diverse and sequenced curriculum, and a supportive and challenging faculty all aid students in their individual journeys as artists.
Students learn about the role of the artist by attending exhibitions at museums and galleries and participating in regular art exhibitions in the community. With support available from the School, students can participate in unique summer field courses. They can travel to the Atacama Desert in Chile or the wilderness of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, to pursue their creative passion.
Our goal is to help students gain insight into their professional approach and commitment in their active pursuit of process and self-discovery as artists.
